Gorgeous hotel, tucked away in Golspie. We stopped here for a meal/rest/drink after a long road trip before our final hour of driving and could not fault it. Huge portions, great kids menu & lovely staff. Very welcoming to our girls with a lovely atmosphere - particularly with a cosy fire lit. Highly recommend & we will be back!
First stop on the NC500 at this traditional style inn just on the outskirts of Golspie. Very warm welcome and particularly friendly. Rooms looked they had ben refurbished recently and were comfortable although judging by the layout plan, our room (7) was the smallest. Dinner was very good indeed with a wide variety of specials. Excellent choice of breakfasts too - highland breakfast was great although ordering mix-up by the kitchen meant we had a 45 minute wait - a tad annoying given we had planned an early start. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
Stayed in Embo, went to Dornoch for an evening meal with my wife daughter and son inlaw and 2 year old grand daughter. Dornoch fully booked so we luckily managed to get booked in at the Golspie Inn. The staff we very welcoming and could not do enough to help us. The food was lovely with a good selection of starters and main meals. Reasonable price for home cooked meals. We will certainly book direct next time we are in the area.
Took my daughter for a lunch date, and the food was absolutely delicious! Had a scallop starter and halibut main, and both were 5 stars. The staff were attentive and friendly. An altogether top form experience. If you're traveling through Golspie for either lunch or dinner, you won't go amiss by stopping in for a meal.
Staff were amazing. Facilities good but restricted by historical status limiting infrastructure upgrades. Food was also Amazing.

We stayed here for thr first stop off our road trip. It's quite small but our room and bathroom was nice and clean. Food was good but a bit of a shame there was no stake and ale pie both nights. Staff are very friendly and kind. Would recommend
